Janine

Our founder is an agricultural engineer , professional photographer and with a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development Cooperation. With over 10 years of hands-on experience in health and education projects in Rwanda, she combines technical knowledge with a strong sense for real-world needs and storytelling.

Her unique background allows her to bridge the gap between strategic project design, meaningful implementation, and powerful visual communication. Passionate about sustainability, empowerment and authentic impact, she brings heart, soul, and expertise into every project — from local initiatives to international collaborations.

Team

She is joined by a political scientist and development practitioner with a strong background in international cooperation, policy analysis, and project management. With extensive experience working with local government, NGOs and foundations, he specializes in needs assessments, proposal writing, organizational development and advocacy strategies.

Together, our team combines field experience, academic rigor and creative communication — offering holistic consultancy services that move projects from idea to lasting impact.
We also work with freelance photographers and videographers to make your organisation’s work more visible.

At Heart and Soul Consultancy, our multidisciplinary team combines expertise in sustainable development, political science, practical project management, agricultural engineering, photography and marketing .
With over 10 years of experience in Rwanda and international cooperation, we bring in-depth knowledge, creativity, and passion to every project.

Our areas of intervention include projects regarding to health, education, poverty reduction, and capacity building for NGOs and foundations.
We support our partners in needs assessment, project development, implementation, evaluation and ongoing project management.

In Germany, we contribute to advancing Education for Sustainable Development (BNE) in schools and strengthening volunteering, especially among young people.
In addition, we specialize in visualization, authentic photography, and marketing strategies to help especially smaller organizations tell their stories, inspire action and create lasting impact.

We believe in sustainable change through collaboration, professionalism, and a deep commitment to community-driven solutions. And we believe in the strength and commitment of small NGOs and grassroots movements.
